How long does a session take?

Sessions typically take an hour to an hour and a half.

Can I work my horse before or after a session?

Working your horse before a session can be helpful to warm up the muscles which can make it easier to access muscle groups during the massage. The day of the massage we suggest not riding your horse after a session, although light groundwork is beneficial. It is also ideal to not ride between the horse's first and second sessions to get the full benefit of treatment.

How often should my horse be massaged?

When first starting, we suggest 3 massages within 10 days. 3 massages within the 10 day period helps to reveal if the soreness is truly coming from the muscle or soft tissue. After that massages are scheduled based on the needs of the horses.

When should a horse not be massaged?

Please let us know if your horse is exhibiting any of these signs: has a temperature, injury that has not been seen by a veterinarian, medical problems such as a virus or disease, fungal or skin problems, pregnant, has cancer or tumors. Massages may need to be rescheduled or postponed until the ailment is resolved or a veterinarian agrees massage is okay.
